Goal: Make our metahuman longer torso but keep the same skeleton (Metahuman skeleton)
Reason: Some characters has a longer legs and shorter torso, different proportions of legs/arms/body
Approach:
1.We found just two of them for now , once was unreal throught blender, edit mesh and bones. Import it into unreal engine and then retarget metahuman skeleton on the new one.
2. Picture under. I created a pose with a different bone position. Export like a new solver throught Pose Wrangler plugin and then i put this pose permanently ON in post proccess anim BP.
Benefits: are that is easily reuseable for other characters. Easily can tweak and great controll over it.
Cons: Maya based workflow. Longer settup. Harder get out of unreal with post process anim BP
